The three project partners, Techniker Krankenkasse (represented by the Head of TK Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Mrs. Manon Austenat-Wied), the Department of Dermatology  Greifswald University (represented by Prof. Dr. med. habil. Michael Jünger) and Infokom (represented by director Mr. Rolf-Dietrich Berndt) considered the great interest the teledermatology system attracted a great success. As part of its IV (Integratded Medical Services) contract, the Techniker Krankenkasse has developed its own telemedicine modules for the applications of the teledermatology system. Currently, this service is being used by the Department of Dermatology at the University of Medicine in Greifswald. There are plans to expand this service to offer on a national level, integrating more doctors, especially dermatologists, into the network.

Mobile System mSkin Dermatology – Presentation at the office of the Federal Chancellor

At the opening event of this year’s Girls‘ Day, in the presence of Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel, Infokom GmbH presented mSkin® – the mobile tele-dermatology system for skin cancer screening. mSkin®  result of a feasibility study by Infokom GmbH in collaboration with the ‚Techniker‘ health insurance and the Department of Dermatology of the Medical University Greifswald, represented by Prof. Michael Jünger.

Experience innovation!

The students had the opportunity to experience mSkin® at  the ‚Techniker‘ health insurance stall. Here they could test the application – screening their skin, like a Dermatologist would do, but without the wait for an appointment and having to travel to their clinic. They could find out what modern telemedicine is about and how it works.

In this simulated situation a photo of the mole is sent to the „Health professional“ via touchpad.

The doctor has then the chance to examine the mole and  give the „patient“ feedback via Skype. Not only the students were interested, but also the Chancellor.     Items for Page: There are no posts that match the selection criteria.
